Position Overview

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving inventory, maintaining organization, ensuring a safe working environment, and managing the warehouse team. Additionally, the Warehouse Supervisor will be accountable for coordinating and monitoring all deliveries leaving the location. To be successful, the associate must maintain strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and vendors, and possess a thorough understanding of safety protocols and proper delivery procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Receive incoming inventory shipments and verify accuracy against packing slips or purchase orders.
• Manage inventory levels and conduct regular inventory counts to reconcile discrepancies and maintain accuracy.
• Organize and maintain the backroom storage area to ensure efficient use of space and easy access to inventory.
• Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of warehouse equipment, such as delivery vehicles, forklifts, etc.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment for all warehouse staff.
• Train, supervise, and motivate warehouse team members to achieve high performance and productivity levels.
• Attend all applicable training, and be able to use or be certified in use of appropriate equipment (including forklifts, pallet jacks, baler, etc.).
• Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and sales, to fulfill customer orders and maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Schedule and coordinate the loading and unloading of delivery trucks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Work with the team to ensure all items requiring assembly are completed prior to the scheduled delivery time.
• Oversee the delivery, drop off, and pickup of rental equipment.
• Validate all deliveries with customers over the phone - reconcile any discrepancies.
• Communicate with Store Management on any issues that arise during delivery or product shortage issues that keep us from satisfying the customer order.

Compensation

$14 - $17 / hour. This is a full-time position at 40 hours/week (some evenings & every other weekend required).

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics or warehouse management is a plus.
• Proven experience in warehouse operations.
• Familiarity with warehouse equipment and machinery, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory tracking and record-keeping.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to safety standards and practices in the workplace.
• Standing, walking, lifting (up to 40lbs), and climbing
