Responsibilities:Position Summary:
Pharmacists perform the day to day responsibilities of drug distribution, computer drug and IV order processing for pediatric and NICU patients. Perform therapeutic intervention as needed, drug information and consultation to other professional staff and patients, the maintenance of patient profiles, attendance at cardio-pulmonary emergencies, drug therapy monitoring, checking drug compounding, and dispensing. The pediatric/NICU staff Pharmacist is also responsible for directing technicians, overseeing medication storage, inventory control, and actively precepting pharmacy residents, students, technicians or interns as assigned by the supervisor in pediatric and NICU areas. This position is a Direct Care Provider as defined in Pharmacy Policy. The Pharmacist shall perform clinical pharmacy and medication management duties for pediatric, NICU, and adult patients, as needed.
