Part-Time Nanny/Cook
Location: Westport, CT
Position: Nanny / Cook (Part-Time, Live-Out)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, approx. 2:30 PM – 7:00 PM (flexible)
Compensation: $35–$40/hour
Additional: Occasional weekends & overnights
A warm, active Westport family is seeking a reliable, energetic, and experienced Nanny/Cook to care for two wonderful boys (ages 10 & 8) and help keep their afternoons running smoothly. This role blends after-school care, light cooking, and family support — perfect for someone who loves working with school-aged children and enjoys being part of a busy, loving household.
Boy, 10 – first born and you can see that in his personality. He is friendly and chill/quiet, but has a great group of friends. He is driven and determined when it comes to his sports teams and practices. He is a good big brother but occasionally will get annoyed by his little bro 😉 He is amazing, smart, very talented, but he needs help slowing down when it comes to his homework/organization skills.
Boy, 8 – is very funny and always has a smile. He is very social and loves to be surrounded by his friends and loved ones. He is very empathetic and cares about how others feel. He is sensitive when it comes to being in trouble and getting in. fights with his brother because he means well and is a good kid.
Pet: Rexford, a sweet 3-year-old Labrador who enjoys a quick hello and affection before settling nearby
School pick-ups & after-school snack preparation
Oversee afternoon routines, including homework, sports gear, uniforms, and instruments
Drive children to and from activities and sports practices
Prepare and serve healthy, kid-friendly dinners (occasional light family meals)
Light kitchen clean-up after meals
Support evening routines — ensuring kids are bathed, in PJs, and ready for the evening
Encourage good manners, discipline, and organizational habits
Light pet care for a friendly Labrador (letting outside for bathroom breaks, no walking required)
Manage occasional playdates and mediate sibling disagreements in a positive, constructive way
The Nanny/Cook will work closely and professionally alongside:
Housekeeper or Executive Housekeeper
Tutor or Governess
Gardener or Groundskeeper
Proven experience with grade-school children
Energetic, playful, and able to keep up with active boys (including outdoor play and sports)
Strong communicator who responds quickly, arrives on time, and respects schedules
Maintains professional boundaries — reliable, drama-free, and consistent
Confident with discipline, organization, and managing playdates
Valid driver’s license with clean record
Comfortable with occasional weekends and overnights
