We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented legal assistant to join 1818 Law Firm. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our legal team by managing various administrative and legal tasks. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.

Duties

• Assist team in organizing case files and conducting document reviews.
• Draft legal documents and correspondence accurately and efficiently.
• Proofread documents for accuracy, clarity, and compliance with legal standards.
• Maintain organized filing systems for both physical and electronic documents.
• Manage phone communications with clients, witnesses, and other legal professionals while exhibiting excellent phone etiquette.
• Ensure all deadlines are met by keeping track of important dates and managing calendars effectively.

Requirements

• Available at least 20 hours per week
• Previous experience in a law office or similar professional setting is preferred but not required.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in document review processes and attention to detail in proofreading.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an emphasis on professional phone etiquette.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Internship

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
