Description Purpose of Position: The Compliance Assistant is an entry-level role that will join our compliance department.
This position will provide support on compliance inquiries and help maintain internal and external tools and resources. The role is designed for someone with a basic understanding of employee benefits who is eager to learn, grow, and build a foundation in compliance while supporting senior compliance staff.
As knowledge and confidence increase, this position offers opportunities to take on more advanced compliance responsibilities – including contributing to education initiatives and leading projects that strengthen our compliance program.
Essential Functions Compliance Inquires & Communication - Monitor compliance-related inquiries from brokers, clients, and internal teams
- Gather background information and draft responses for review by senior compliance staff
- Assist in building and maintaining a library of standardized responses and Policies & Procedures (P&Ps) documentation to ensure consistency.
Compliance Tools & Resources - Help update and maintain compliance resources, tools, and educational materials
- Support the upkeep and accuracy of compliance content on the company website and internal platforms.
- Assist in organizing and updating self-service tools for internal stakeholders and external partners as new technology is introduced
- Support miscellaneous compliance projects as assigned
Compliance Training and Education - Provide logistical support for broker education events, including broker Continuing Education (CE) webinars and training sessions
- Assist with scheduling, CE documentation, attendance tracking, and preparation of educational materials
- Help prepare and organize supporting materials for senior staff presentations
Salesforce Utilization & Reporting - Maintain accurate and up-to-date compliance ticketing records within Salesforce
- Run standard reports and assist in ensuring data integrity for compliance and business operations
- Support additional projects assigned to maintain data integrity and reporting for the GA leadership team
Operational Support & Administration - Report escalations or identified errors promptly to leadership.
- Follow company policies regarding timesheets, PTO tracking, and payroll submission
- Support compliance with security and HIPAA protocols in all data management
- Participate in both on-site and remote work with reliable attendance and punctuality
Additional Responsibilities - Work on additional projects and ticketing as requested for other support divisions based on business need
- Engage in ongoing learning and professional development to build compliance knowledge.
- Adhere to all PHI (Protected Health Information) and HIPAA (Health Information Portability and Accountability Act) guidelines.
Qualifications Required Skills & Attributes - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear and digestible language.

- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn about compliance and the employee benefits industry.
Preferred Qualifications - Basic familiarity with employee benefits, health insurance, or compliance-related topics.
- Experience in a professional setting that required research, writing, or customer support.
- Interest in building a career in compliance, employee benefits, or a related field.
Educational Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or degree in a related field (business, communications, or health/insurance) preferred
Physical Requirements - Ability to work primarily at a computer with regular use of a keyboard, phone, and standard office equipment.
- Sufficient vision and hearing to perform essential job functions, including computer and phone work.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English.
